Kim Powers cancer alternatives to Pharma industry therapy.cup syndrome

There is no excuse for animal abuse ! Free all animals from the laboratories worldwide NOW!

Remember Chemotherapy is only a 50-56% chance of survival....the side effects may kill you before the cancer..The pharma industry are liars and are only interested in profit....How can a 'medicine' thats based upon the murder and torture of animals be of benefit to humans ?Some chemotherapies are based upon chinese or natural medicines (that can't be patented) which is why the FDA and Swiss Medi prohibit the import or the flow of information of the natures cures.Well they won't stop me as cancer patient passing my experience to you :-).Surgery is ok,there you are in the hands of people that really try and help, so step back and make a balanced opinion.

The Happy Tree,xi shu. Cancer Tree, or Tree of Life (Camptotheca) is a genus of medium-sized deciduous trees growing to 20 m tall, native to central China. They are usually included in the tupelo family Nyssaceae, but sometimes included (with the tupelos) in the dogwood family Cornaceae. Camptotheca is used to make Irinotecan, Topotecan, 9-Aminocamptothecin, and camptothecin-1 (CPT-1).

Medicinal mushrooms:
Coriolus versicolor:
Known as Turkey Tails, this is a common shelf fungus found growing in woodlands all over the world. It is a hard, woody bracket fungus found growing on dead trees. Not at all what you would be likely to eat as an edible mushroom. But it contains some quite amazing medicinal compounds.

Some of the most commonly prescribed anti-cancer drugs in the orient are produced from this fungus. Krestin is widely used in Japan to treat a number of different types of cancers. Also known as PSK, this drug is being actively studied by many universities and pharmaceutical companies around the world. It shows exceptional promise in the treatment of prostate and breast cancer. Another formulation is extracted from Coriolus in China for pharmaceutical use there. It is known as PSP and is similar to PSK, both in Chemistry and in medicinal properties. These are both Protein bound Polysaccharides of the Beta-Glucan variety.

American National Cancer Research Center has put PSP on record as a fungous anticancerous substance. (Applied Microbiology, Vol. 34, p. 183-264. 1989)

Like other mushroom derived Beta-Glucans, the polysaccharides from Coriolus act in the human system as IMMUNOMODULATORS. That is, they activate (or modulate) the immune system. Within 48-72 hours of administering Beta-Glucans to humans, it is typical to see an increase of active immune cells by as much as 3000%. Increases of more than 10,000% have been seen in some cases!

In repeated studies, Coriolus has shown activity against Sarcoma 180 in the high 90% range. Sarcoma 180 is a standard cancer cell line that is used in research all over the world. By standardizing tests with this one cancer type, the results from different research labs are directly comparable. While this activity against Sarcoma 180 does not necessarily mean that it will be as effective against all other cancers, it is a good indicator of biological activity in humans. The best and most reliable tests are the clinical trials where the investigated drug is administered to patients and compared against other forms of therapy. In clinical trials with Coriolus, it has been shown to be more effective than conventional therapy without it's use. Several clinical trials are underway at this time in several countries using Coriolus, and the results should be available within the next couple of years. Unfortunately, other concerns besides the medical efficacy come into play when determining whether a particular drug will come to market in one country or another. The cost of research and clinical trials is astronomical high and the patentability and profit potential of any medicine is looked at carefully before an attempt is made to put that drug out on the market.

It is interesting to note that when Coriolus Beta-Glucans are introduced directly into a test tube with the cancer cells, NOTHING HAPPENS! But when the Beta-Glucans are given to human subjects, the body sees it as an invasion of some unknown organism and triggers a huge immune defense. This radical increase in immune function means that there are many more immune cells available to fight the cancer or other invader in the body. Because of this host modulated immune response, Beta-Glucan therapy has many uses other than just directly anti-cancer. It has also shown good action against Hepatitis and invasion by the HIV virus. And since it works by stimulating the bodies' own immune system, there are very few side effects. It is not like the case where toxic chemicals are injected into the body (Chemo-Therapy) in the hopes that the 'bad' cells will die before the 'good' cells. What a harsh way to treat a sick person. If this approach worked at all well, maybe it would be worth it. But the remission rates for chemo-therapy is not very good. Partly because the chemo-therapeutic agents also destroy the bodies' immune cells. Infections are a serious risk anytime chemo-therapy is used. It is this authors opinion that anyone undergoing chemo-therapy (or radiation therapy) should also consider taking mushroom derived Beta-Glucans concurrently to help boost the immune system and regain some of the balance that is lost through the use of these extremely toxic chemicals. This co-administration of direct anti-tumor chemicals and naturally derived Beta-Glucans will become the standard treatment in years to come. Just as penicillin changed the way medicine dealt with infectious agents, Beta-Glucans will change the way we view the treatments for Cancer, AIDS and Hepatitis.

We have attached many current research articles to this web site so you can read for yourself what the Universities and Pharmaceutical companies are finding out about this incredible medicinal. These articles are all published on the U.S. Government's own National Library of Medicine web site. Hopefully this mushroom and it's extracted and derived medicines will be available to the American public soon. If you can afford to wait for the major pharmaceutical companies to get this out on the market, great. But if you or a loved one has need for this now, please check out the references we are providing. Talk it over with your doctor and make informed decisions regarding your health.

Reishi mushrooms,
(SO WHY DOESNT EVERYONE KNOW THIS?)
PLease make sure the 'Reishi extract is organic)
Ancient Chinese Mushroom Stops Spread of Invasive Cancers

Top medicinal herb in China for more than 2000 years. Potent immune booster, powerful antioxidant, anti allergy and adaptogen health tonic called the Long Life Herb.

(PRWEB) August 6, 2005 -- Research published in the scientific journals Integrative Cancer Therapies and Oncology Reports showed that Reishi inhibited highly invasive breast and prostate cancer cells. Another study in Immunological Investigations (2005) revealed it promoted anti tumor activity. Biological response modifiers (BRM’s) are evolving as the fourth method of cancer treatment in addition to surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Reishi is a BRM with an extraordinary effect on the maturation, differentiation and proliferation of many kinds of immune cells and is a proven potent activator of interferon, interleukins, tumor necrosis factor (TNF), natural killer cells (NK), T lymphocytes, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL’s) and lymphokine activated killer cells (LAK).

Hundreds of studies over the last 20 years have confirmed the ability of medicinal mushroom polysaccharides to elevate levels of cytokines (chemical messengers) that alert the immune system and boost its activity. Cancer Research UK produced the world’s most comprehensive review of their benefits and found increasing evidence that medicinal mushrooms contain a remarkable array of medicinally important compounds that could have a highly beneficial influence on the way cancer is treated.

A fully functional immune system is critical to the recognition and elimination of tumor cells. The increased incidence of spontaneous tumors in immunosuppressed individuals indicates that the immune system provides an substantial defense mechanism for resistance against cancer. Research noted, ‘It was evident from clinical trials that Reishi significantly enhanced the immune systems of the elderly people taking it.’

Extracts from medicinal mushrooms have been used to improve quality of life for cancer patients when taken prior to and during radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy invariably damage or weaken the patient’s immunological defenses. Although responding favorably, cancer patients are in danger of opportunistic infections that can invade their systems because unfortunately the therapy designed to kill the pathogenic cells also kills their protective immune cells. A combination of Reishi and Cordyceps has been clinically tested for cancer treatment support with good results. Researchers believe that a mixture of mushroom polysaccharides maximizes the immune response by providing multiple stimuli.

Medicinal mushrooms are thought to have latent cancer preventative properties. Epidemiological studies in Japan and Brazil suggest that regular consumption significantly reduces the levels of cancer incidence. A 14-year study in Japan revealed cancer rates of workers at medicinal mushroom farms were 1 in 1000 compared to 1 in 600 for the general population. The distinguished Japanese surgeon, Dr Morishige incorporates Reishi into cancer treatments and after years of studying it believes it can help to prevent cancer.

Reishi is a powerful antioxidant free radical scavenger. Free radicals causing oxidative damage to cells are thought to be a contributing factors in ageing and have been implicated in many diseases, including cancer. Recent research in Science Express and reported by Reuters and BBC News proved that reducing free radical damage enabled a 20% longer life span with less heart and other age-related diseases. A compound in Reishi, GLB7, actually slows the production of free radicals.

Reishi has been rated China’s top medicinal herb for over 2000 years with Ginseng in second place and so highly treasured it was traded for its own weight in gold and once only available to Emperors. Now it is the most important and most thoroughly researched herb in the Orient. Reishi contains more than 200 active and unique compounds, including the most biologically active obtainable from plant sources. Its dynamic antioxidant action and immune stimulating effects have earned it many names including, ‘The Long Life Herb’, ‘The Great Protector’ and even ‘God’s Herb’.

As well as its potent immune boosting effects Reishi has the extraordinary capacity to regulate and balance the immune system when it is overactive and has over compensated in autoimmune conditions like allergies. It also inhibits histamine release from mast cells and is anti inflammatory making it effective against all four types of allergic reactions.

Personally sourced in China, Lifeforce Herbs imports top quality Reishi concentrated extract containing the highest levels of active ingredients in the world. For more information visit the web site where you will see they also stock Cordyceps, the ‘Herb of Life’ as featured on BBC’s Newsnight on July 19 2005.

Antitumor effects of a refined polysaccharide peptide fraction isolated from Coriolus versicolor: in vitro and in vivo studies. , RPSP, a refined polysaccharide peptide fraction isolated by fast performance liquid chromatography (FPLC) from the crude powder of total peptide-bound polysaccharides of cultivated Coriolus versicolor Cov-1 dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation of a human hepatoma cell line (HEPG2). The effective dose causing 50% inhibition following 3-day exposure to RPSP was 243 +/- 36 micrograms/ml for HEPG2. However, little or no inhibitory effects were detected in normal human foetal hepatocytes. On the other hand, in the pretreatment group, in which RPSP was administered i.p. for two weeks before sarcoma 180 inoculation in nude mice, the incidence of tumor growth was less (2 out of 5 mice) than that of the control group (all 5 mice). The tumor size of the control group was about 3-5 times bigger than that of the pretreatment group. In tumor-bearing nude mice, 5 days after sarcoma 180 inoculation, i.v. administration of RPSP significantly suppressed the growth of tumor mass. The inhibition rate was 93.6% on day 13. Furthermore, administration of RPSP did not cause any pathological lesions in vital organs of rabbits such as heart, liver, spleen, lung and kidney. In conclusion, these results indicate that RPSP acts by directly suppressing tumor cell growth in vitro and the prevention of in vivo growth of tumor mass is probably mediated also via its immunomodulating effects., Dong Y; Kwan CY; Chen ZN; Yang MM , Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam, Hong Kong. , Res Commun Mol Pathol Pharmacol, 92(2):140-8 1996 May .

Polysaccharide-peptide complexes from the cultured mycelia of the mushroom Coriolus versicolor and their culture medium activate mouse lymphocytes and macrophages. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the mushroom Coriolus versicolor on cells of the immune system. The cultured mycelia of the mushroom Coriolus versicolor and their culture medium were separately extracted with boiling water. The resulting polysaccharopeptide preparations were designated intramycelial (IM) and extramycelial materials (EM), and were separated by gel filtration before determining their effects on lymphocytes and macrophages in vitro and in vivo. After gel filtration on Sepharose 6B, only a single peak with a molecular weight of 13-19 KDa was obtained. Gel filtration of IM and EM on Sephadex G-50 revealed the presence of a larger peak of 28 KDa (from IM) and 15 KDa (from EM) and a smaller peak of 3.5 KDa. IM, EM and their large molecular peaks enhanced the mitogenic response of T-cells from BALB/c mice in vitro. Splenocytes from C57BL/6 mice pre-treated by force-feeding with IM and EM demonstrated an augmented mitogenic response to Con A. The macrophages of C57BL/6 mice that had been pre-treated with IM or EM showed an enhanced production of nitrite ions. The results indicate that both mouse lymphocytes and macrophages were activated by preparations of polysaccharopeptide from cultured mycelia and culture medium of C. versicolor. However, no direct cytotoxic activity against fibroblasts, hepatoma cells and choriocarcinoma cells could be demonstrated. , Wang HX; NG TB; Liu WK; Ooi VE; Chang ST , Department of Biology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, Hong Kong. , Int J Biochem Cell Biol, 28(5):601-7 1996 May

Coriolusversicolor

Coriolus Versicolor
Schmetterlingstramente

* Begleitende Krebstherapie
* Stärkung des Immunsystems
* Störungen der Leberfunktionen
* Bakterielle und virale Erkrankungen

Wissenschaftliche Dokumentation:
